IRI-Family Support Services

Independence Residences, Incorporated currently provides financial support to families who have a person with developmental disabilities living with them. This support can be used for the purchase of needed equipment to assist the individual while at home, additional clothing, or to support the person's attendance at camp. A committee made up of parents, members of the community and staff evaluate the needs of the many families who apply and approve the funds.

Independence Residences, Inc. constantly looks for additional ways to assist families with their support of a family member with a developmental disability at home. Weekday evening and weekend respites as well as Crisis Intervention Services are among supports we at Independence Residences Inc. look to provide in the future.
